Amy Winehouse Allegedly Downs Some Vodka Before Checking Into Rehab

Egads. Amy Winehouse has checked herself back into rehab, but not before allegedly downing some vodka on her way to the treatment facility. The news was first reported by The Sun, who claims that an eyewitness saw the singer buy a baby bottle of Smirnoff, you know, of the miniature kind, and proceed to drink it. “She seemed out of it. She was stumbling about, slurring her words. I was shocked to see her buy vodka so early in the day, and even more shocked to see her knock it straight back.” Okay, so that’s equivalent to what, a couple shots, right? A last hurrah, perhaps? Now I’m not making light of the situation, and this is quite serious, but it goes to show what an effect substance abuse has on a person. When you have an addiction, you want it and need it no matter what. Apparently prior to the vodka episode, she was seen going into a hair salon to use the restroom when witnesses claim they heard her hurling while in the john.
